Some interesting details to emerge are that if you specify either the adjustable passenger Recaro with sculpted rear bench in the cloth or the full leather trim option you will only get 4 seats.

Yep that's right the car has been homologated by Ford as a 4 seater not a 5 seater.

So if you carry 4 passengers regularly you will need to stick with the standard cloth trim.

Keyless entry is an option that will be available some time during 2006.

The cars built during 2005 will be made with a space saver wheel/tyre, cars built from January 2006 onwards will be fitted with a tyre repair/inflation kit.

The Electric Orange paint is available at an eye watering £695 extra cost option, normal metallic is half that at £350.

Test drives are not supposed to be available until January, but many garages seem to be ignoring this.

Customer cars are still due to be delivered in January.

So far in the group tests the car has been getting very favourable reviews and so far has beaten every one of it's rivals to get the accolade of the best Hot hatch available.

The magazines are especially highlighting the value for money aspect of the test ST-2's when compared to the Astra VXR and the Golf GTi, which are the cars closest rivals.
