Started off with a set of Euro repo housings sourced from Rebel Devil Customs. I went this route for a few reasons:
    • A set of NEW repo lights were the same price as used OEM lights which were 90% at best
    • These include leveling motors if I choose to wire later
    • These are cake to open with just a heatgun compared to the OEM Permaseal
    • The bottom of the housing has a ballast mount molded in
    • No amber side marker
    • Clear front turn instead of amber

    Parts list I used:
    • Morimoto MH1 6.0 projectors
    • Morimoto XB35 4300k bulbs
    • Morimoto DSP ballats (replaced the SS ballats I originally purchased)
    • Morimoto relay harness with waterproof Tyco/Bosch relays
    • Partsexpress 6ohm 50w resistors

I need to open the driver side light again to fix the projector rotation a bit, but the way it's rotated now doesn't blind oncoming traffic. It's just annoying when the lights are shining on a flat wall and you can see the cutoff sharply.

    New lights replacing the old:

These are VERY easy to open. Just a heat gun and putty knife needed.

Empty housing. These also include the leveling motors, but the US cars are not wired for these on the car side. The pinout is the same for the remainder of the harness.

Splicing into the H1 socket for the bi-xenon solenoid:

Mounting ballasts. Nice the Euro lights have a spot on the bottom of the housing for this already. These SS ballasts have been replaced with the new DSP ballasts from TRS.

Painting up the bezel and reflector. Wasn't a big fan of the chrome:

Wiring up resistors to ground the low beam positive lead. These prevent the bulb-out warning and subsequent power cut. Both sides have them installed, although you only need one on the side you're switching the relays with to power the ballasts. The other side will still give a warning, but not affect the operation of the lights.

    Looks good.

I've been thinking about getting a set from Rebel Devil just to get rid of the ambr reflector and signal lense. The chrome in white doesn't bother me so much as the amber does. lol

Ditto. I really didn't like the amber either. Guys are taking them off the US lights, but their method seems to be prying off the glued-on side reflector and then just running without the front lens. This is a lot cleaner.

I'll pay the money for the RD lights, I hate hacking shit up because I wanna save some money.

Or I won't, don't see the lights on his site anymore. =/
